Top Trump Trip
Each half-term, our children are treated to a Top Trump Trip as a reward for positive behaviour. Our TTT varies from a trip to McDonalds for a Happy Meal in the sun to a trip for an adventurous walk and hunt in Joseph Locke Park to a Halloween disco!

    

Pride Awards - Oakwell Rise Promise and Values Driven Awards
We celebrate our Pride Award every week. The assembly showcases the hard work and behaviour of our students. We award students with a certificate for: Star Learner, Homework Hero and Class Champion.

  

Reading Rewards - Well Read, Good Reader, Great Reader, Super Reader, Star Reader
Our students have the opportunity to earn badges to demonstrate their commitment to reading. Our children receive a stamp on their card for each day they have read. For each 7 days they have read, they receive a badge (to wear with honour) and certificate. 

Extreme Readers
Each half-term, teachers select one child from their class to receive the Extreme Reader reward - a mug, bookmark and £5 book token. The person nominated must demonstrate a love for reading and share their passion for books!

  

House Points
Our children are allocated a House Group upon entry to Oakwell Rise Primary Academy: Blue, Red, Yellow or Green. Every half-term, the children can earn House Points through a variety of tasks - classwork, behaviour, engagement, homework etc. The winners at each half-term are treated to an in school activity - from baking, to a disco to a bouncy castle!

DoJo Awards
Our children are rewarded for positive behaviour in class with Dojo Points. Children can save their Dojos and visit the Dojo Shop to collect a prize - prizes range from pencils to skipping ropes to board games or game sets.

    

Attendance Awards
To celebrate a child's attendance, we offer two Attendance Awards. One is held every half-term and rewards children who have achieved 100% attendance in the prior half-term - these children all receive a small gift and certificate with an entry into a prize draw for a larger prize. We also hold an annual award for children who achieve 97% or higher attendance throughout the whole school year.

 

Pen Licence
Children who demonstrate good handwriting skills are awarded with a Pen Licence to support their transition from pencil to pen!
