House Point Competition – Week 7, Autumn 1
This week marked an exciting finale to our Autumn 1 House Point Competition, and what a way to round it off! The whole school came together to take part in our key phase tug of war competitions, with every child proudly representing their house colours and giving it their all.
The playground was filled with cheers, determination, and incredible team spirit as each house battled it out for those final crucial points. From the youngest pupils to the oldest, everyone played their part—digging in their heels, pulling together, and showing fantastic resilience and sportsmanship.
After a thrilling set of matches, it was the Red House who emerged victorious! Their hard work throughout the half term, combined with their brilliant performance in the tug of war, earned them the title of Autumn 1 House Point Winners.
To celebrate their achievement, the winning house enjoyed a well-deserved reward afternoon, complete with popcorn, ice cream, and a movie—a perfect way to relax after all their effort!
Well done to all our pupils for their enthusiasm and participation, and a huge congratulations to Red House for their amazing success. We can’t wait to see what the next half term brings!
KS2 Pupils Shine at Inclusive Multi-Sports Event!
25th October 2025
Ten of our KS2 children had a fantastic opportunity this week as they took part in an inclusive multi-sports event at Horizon Community College. The event, organised by School Games, was designed to give pupils the chance to experience a range of exciting and inclusive sporting disciplines—and it certainly delivered!
From start to finish, the atmosphere was buzzing with teamwork, determination, and plenty of smiles. The children rotated through a variety of activities, each one encouraging them to try something new, build confidence, and most importantly, have fun. Whether they were developing coordination, testing their agility, or working together in team challenges, every child embraced the spirit of the day.
It was wonderful to see our pupils supporting one another, celebrating each other’s successes, and demonstrating such enthusiasm for inclusive sport. Their positive attitudes and willingness to give everything a go made us incredibly proud.
A fabulous event all round, and lots of fun had by all! A huge thank you to School Games and Horizon Community College for hosting such an inspiring day. Our KS2 children returned to school full of energy, smiles, and stories of their new sporting experiences.
